Skipley Farm was founded by Gil Schieber in 2008. Gil was trained in all aspects of horticulture and has been active with Seattle Tilth in introducing many unique and special plants to the Pacific NW.

Selective Fruits

Using his experience, Gil has built Skipley Farm into a boutique orchard with a large selection of exceptional fruits and veggies. The farm offers 170 choice apple varieties that were carefully selected from around the globe. Seasonal PYO fruit in ripening order: include Jostaberry, Gooseberry, Black Currants, Cherry, Raspberry, Plums, Boysenberry, Blackberry, Elderberry, Aronia, Pear and finally Quince in November.

Best Farming Practices

​

We follow current organic best practices by integrating nectary plantings, building our own compost and compost teas, including animals into our agricultural systems to reduce pest pressure, mulching to enhance the soil flora and suppressing the weed pressure, as well as soil and fertility management.
