Hellerwork fuses deep tissue bodywork, movement education, and emotional dialogue into a specific sequence designed to realign the body and release chronic pain or stress. The therapy is a form of somatic education which focuses on the body "as experienced from within the body". The underlying belief is that one's health is optimized when he can experience the integrity in the body, the movement, and its relationship with the world. The therapy was developed by Joseph Heller, an early student of Ida Rolf, who founded rolfing. (source: Hellerwork International)
